William McEwan
Investigator Scientist, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, U.K.
WILLIAM MCEWAN is a virologist working on intracellular immunity to viruses. His research focuses on specific mechanisms in mammalian cells that actively overcome viral infection. He graduated with a BSc in genetics from University College London in 2005 and did a master’s degree and PhD at the University of Glasgow, researching immunity to lentiviruses in cats and lions. He is currently an investigator scientist at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, U.K., where he continues to probe the biology of antiviral immunity.
