JONATHAN B. LOSOS is the Monique and Philip Lehner Professor for the Study of Latin America and professor of organismic and evolutionary biology at Harvard University. He is the recipient of a number of awards, including the Theodosius Dobzhansky Prize from the Society for the Study of Evolution and the David Starr Jordan Prize from the American Society of Naturalists.
Losos is the editor-in-chief of the newly released Princeton Guide to Evolution. His research regularly appears in top scientific journals, including Nature and Science. He is the author of Lizards in an Evolutionary Tree: Ecology and Adaptive Radiation of Anoles (University of California Press, 2009), which received the Daniel Giraud Elliot Medal from the National Academy of Science and Improbable Destinies: Fate, Chance, and the Future of Evolution.
