Alexandra Zukerman

ALEXANDRA ZUKERMAN is an editorial assistant at Edge and Brockman, Inc., a New York literary agency.

She earned an MPhil in the History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge University in ‘07. Prior to this, she studied History and Literature, an honors-only, interdisciplinary program at Harvard.

She wrote her undergraduate thesis at Harvard, which earned a summa cum laude, about new scientific understandings of fetal development inside the womb in the eighteenth century and how they influenced Rousseau and Diderot’s medical-philosophical works. Her graduate dissertation, which earned a distinction, revisited Robert Darnton’s argument about the political role played by mesmerism on the eve of the French Revolution. She remains interested in the ways by which contemporary science shape our reality and our world (both imagined and real).
