Susan Greenfield

SUSAN A. GREENFIELD is a Senior Research Fellow at Lincoln College, Oxford, Director of the Royal Institution of Great Britain, and co-founder of Synaptica Ltd., a company specialising in novel approaches to neurodegeneration. Her research concentrates on understanding brain functions and disorders, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases, as well as the physical basis of consciousness. Widely consulted by the media on issues concerning the brain and the mind, she is a recipient of the Michael Faraday medal for her contributions to the public understanding of science. She is the author of The Private Life of the Brain, Journey to the Centres of the Mind, and the Science Masters series book, The Human Brain: A Guided Tour.
