Forrest Sawyer

FORREST SAWYER serves as an NBC News anchor and contributor for both the broadcast network and the 24-hour cable news network MSNBC. At MSNBC, Sawyer is the chief substitute anchor for “The News with Brian Williams.”

Prior to joining NBC, he spent 11 years with ABC News, where he anchored the award-winning primetime news magazines Day One, Turning Point, and ABC Saturday Night. Among numerous honors, he has received the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, seven national Emmy Awards and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.
