Greenwald received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his doctoral degree from Harvard University. He has published more than 160 scholarly articles and authored and edited several books. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and of the Society of Experimental Psychologists and has received the Donald T. Campbell Award for research career contributions from the Society of Personality and Social Psychology. He currently serves on editorial boards of several journals, and was formerly Editor of the leading international journal of his field, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. His research has been supported by a long series of research grant awards from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Mental Health.
