Greg Clark

The Physicist

"A personality has yet to evolve on the Web who can capture its essence and deliver something new to us, in either artistic or literary form. It would be interesting to see what an Andy Warhol would do with this new medium. "

Greg Clark is "The Physicist," having spent fifteen years at the IBM Research Division doing basic research (sitting in the office next to fractal mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot). As he started moving into the information technology area within IBM, he became much more interested in delivering services over networks, which in a way was the forerunner of the information superhighway. He got involved in setting the strategy in that area for IBM, both corporately and, in particular, in Asia. Then News Corporation approached him and he accepted a job as president of their technology group.

GREG CLARK is President, News Technology Group, News Corporation.
